Utrecht, 14 February 2022 - Trengo, the customer engagement platform that combines customer channels on one platform, opened the doors of its new Utrecht office on Friday 10 February 2023. The office is located on the 11th, 12th and 16th floors of office tower Central Park Utrecht, overlooking the city and conveniently located next to the central station. This new office building, Trengo's office meets the Paris climate goals of being energy-neutral by 2050.
Trengo is located halfway up the 90-metre-high unique office tower, which is named after the subtropical garden. A fully covered city park has been created at this height, consisting of 50 trees and shrubs, 1,500 plants and a small creek. The building meets the highest standards of sustainability and has a BREEAM Excellent certificate. The building is equipped with energy-saving (climate) installations, solar panels and has an energy label EPU A++++.
Inclusive work culture
Scale-up Trengo has grown at lightning speed in recent years. Since last summer, the number of employees almost doubled; from 65 to 110. There is also a strong focus on a diverse workforce within Trengo. A total of 31 different nationalities work there. Creating an inspiring work environment is one of the scale-up's main spearheads.
The idea for the Bali-themed office came to CEO Patrick Meutzner when walking with colleagues during the COVID19 period. "During this period, I came up with the idea of going to Bali on a workstation. But we thought it would be cooler and more practical to bring Bali to the Netherlands. Especially in today's challenging job market, it is very important to stand out and create a pleasant work environment. The new office building contributes to this with its appearance," Meutzner says. "Plus with this office building we also show that we value sustainability highly."
