How to set up an auto reply in the WhatsApp Business app

With the WhatsApp auto reply feature, you can set up an ‘away message’ for when you’re not available or online on WhatsApp Business. This way, you will still be able to engage and build trust with your audience.

In the official WhatsApp Business application, there are three different ways to set up an auto reply.

  1. Out of business hours
  2. Always
  3. At specific times

You can only set an auto reply during business hours if you have determined your business hours in the application. Your customers will be able to see these business hours when viewing your profile. You can decide to send the auto reply to specific people in your audience, such as only your contacts, or to everybody.

Set-up

  1. First, click on the three vertical dots in the top right corner of your WhatsApp application.
  2. Next, click on 'Settings', 'Business Settings', and 'Away message'.
  3. Turn on the 'Send away message' button.
  4. Fill in the "away" message you would like to send to your customers.
  5. Next, select the type of schedule you would like to select.
  6. Finally, select the recipients you would like the auto reply to be sent to.

How to set up an auto reply with Trengo
